FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do you provide a Commercial Service, Block Management or clean apartment blocks?

Indeed we do. We already provide commercial services to the likes of First Port, Hillcrest and Alliance Homes. Please see our Commercial Page for more information.

2. Do you offer one off cleans?

Our business model is set up around regular cleaning. We wouldn’t necessarily say no to one off cleans, it would depend if we had the capacity on a particular route at the time needed. Considering the number of bins we clean all routes are planned in detail beforehand. Please drop us an email and we’ll do our best to fit you in. Please note, one off cleans are all charged out at Deep Clean Rates.

3. Do I need to do anything once set up?

No! Once set up please sit back, relax and enjoy your clean and fresh smelling bins each time.

4. What happens if my bin(s)/recycling is emptied at different times?

Now then, this one is a good question. For example, if you decide that you would like your Green Waste bin and Black Refuse bin along with your recycling boxes/food containers cleaned then you’ll have selected our 2 bin package. Each council area can differ but in North Somerset that example involves three different collection teams arriving at different times throughout the day.

When you sign up you have two options:

  1. For multiple bin types our preference is that you leave your bins out for an extra night once emptied and we’ll pop around the very first thing the following day, then you can take them in. We then know that all bins and recycling boxes are emptied and ready for us and we don’t experience any abortive visits. It is not uncommon for some bin emptying to be missed, we arrive and only some of the work is available to us. Some people are happy with this, some are not.

  2. If you would prefer to take your bins in on collection day you can state a time period (range) you would like us to arrive. If we arrive and something isn’t ready, we’ll try our best to fit it in at the end of the day. If the timing just isn’t working, we’ll contact you and discuss how we can improve this as ideally, we’d like to service your bins without hassle for the long term.

5. Are all domestic bin sizes charged at different rates?

We have simplified our charging structure and service offering and although there are various sizes of domestic bins people use we charge out at a single rate. We don’t wish to over complicate matters.

6. Can you clean green waste bins?

Indeed we can. Most households in North Somerset, Bristol or South Gloucester have the option of a black domestic waste (non-recycling) bin, green waste bin, waste recycling boxes as well as food waste caddys. The colour of the bin doesn’t matter. Hence why, if you wanted everything cleaning, you would select two bins plus all smaller units. This is our most popular option when people sign up. Some people do not have the green waste bin, which is why we have a single bin option. Some people have two green bins plus a black, hence why we have a three bin option. Simple really.

7. Do I need to be in?

Not at all. As long as your bins are left at an appropriate location you are free to go about your life. 99% of the time we follow the bin emptying operatives around and pick up the bins where they’re left. Alternatively we’re always happy to say hello if you did want to talk to us whilst we’re there.

8. Do you charge any extra’s or hidden costs?

As a general rule, absolutely not. We conduct ourselves with openness and honesty and put everything on the table upfront. We aim for a long term relationship with you and we’re not going to achieve that unless we’re honest and provide a decent service. That is why we carry out a Deep Clean on our first visit, then all ongoing visits should be our standard maintenance cleaning.

The only exception to this would be:

Decontamination Cleaning

If there is excrement present in the bin that is not wrapped or sealed then we charge these cleans out at the relevant Deep Clean cost. If you help us by bagging excrement before putting it into the bin then our ongoing maintenance cleans would be sufficient. Further care and attention is needed during these cleans whilst the disposal of this waste water is covered by our trade effluence licence.

Further Deep Cleaning

From time to time we come across a bin that’s had too much of a good time! Be it excessive paint or other liquid products, rather smelly material or a variety of wonderful items – you’d be surprised what we sometimes find. If a bin requires a decent seeing to, then this would be more than the standard maintenance clean.

In either case, we will try our best to contact you before starting the work.

9. Is there a minimum contract period?

We do not ask you to sign up for any long term contract: we provide a decent service and people are satisfied to keep using us for the long term. However, we use Stripe to collect our payments and they require a minimum of 30 days notice to sort out the cancellation. So, if you decide to leave us we’d be sad, but we’ll pop by and give your bins one final clean before we part ways as Stripe would have collected one final payment. Of course, we’d love to see you again some day!

10. How do I change my frequency or package once set up?

For Domestic clients, the-sign up page on the website allows you to set up an initial service with us. If you would like to change anything about this once established, either the frequency or number of bins/boxes cleaned then please contact us using either the email or phone number provided.

For all Commercial clients you are assigned an Account Manager when we establish your service. Alternatively, use the general contact details and we’ll make sure we get back in touch.
